It won't let me vote "none of the above".

Pretty much where I was too I'm afraid. I guess I needed a 'sorry, I'm a philistine' button.
Sadly, none of the above. :)

And there are a few that interest me but with which I'm not familiar.
That was about my problem with the double barrel question, there are ones I'm interested in, but not really familiar; or familiar with, but not interested in.

Comments. The perfect place for write-in votes.
After Hours.

It is a write-in vote, sirrah, and if people can write-in Mickey Mouse for US President I can certainly break all the rules and write-in something inappropriate here! See if I don't!
(Strangely, rewatched After Hours the other day and between reading HQII and your Hamlet articles couldn't help but try to chart the up and down beats. Except of course there are very few up-beats. Poor Griffin gets put through the down-beat wringer).
Doug.
It's very Coen-esque in that respect.
Yeah, the "and" cut down on my choices. I'm interested in "The Wrestler" but haven't had a chance to see it, thus I'm not familiar.
I cut my "interested" list in half to keep it more coherent and to favor my favorites.
I'm looking forward to GUMSHOE Glengarry Glen Ross.
Graham
Clicked all the ones I've read or watched. I'm not sure what you mean by "interested in". I was interested enough to read or watch them (at least once). Glengarry GlenRoss I haven't yet read/watched, but I probably will at some point (hey, it's Mamet, right?)
and interested was the kicker for me, too. But that's probably exactly what you want to know, right?
With no other guide (it IS an enigmatic query) I took "interested in" to mean "would like to learn more about". I'm familiar with almost all of those movies/stories, but checked only two based on "interested in".

What? How can someone with access to the internet not be familiar with, and thus interested in, Casablanca?

I took "interested in" to mean "like thinking about."
With the exception of The Wrestler, I've seen them all at least once. I also found most of them interesting. In the end, my choice was Raging Bull.

How come it opens spam after you answer?
I haven't seen pollhost do that. If I'd known it did I would have found another service.
I voted for all of them so Robin has to do more work. :)
(Actually, I voted for ones I was interested AND/OR familiar with).
cheers, JS

If Robin decides to write about Casablanca (the current front runner) I'll gladly take that as an incentive to finally watch it.

I was familiar with all of them, but had to restrain myself to only voting for ones which interest me, which is a pretty narrow group.
I'm actually hoping for Casablanca, as I'm kind of on a "middle eastern drama set in a cafe" kick at the moment. I've recently discovered the radio series The Adventures of Rocky Jordan and have been enjoying it immensely. |
